Audi Specialists

Audi Specialists Information

An Audi specialist can specialise in anything from the sale and importation of Audi vehicles, to the servicing, repair, maintenance and restoration of Audis.

Audi specialists, who specialise in the repair and maintenance of Audi vehicles, usually have to under-go specialist training to be able to repair the vehicle to a high standard. Audi uses galvanised steel and aluminium to produce their modern cars (to help prevent and eliminate rust), so making sure that any repairs to the body panels is up to scratch using an Audi specialist is the sensible option.

Your local Audi specialist will also have access to the correct tools and Audi vehicle diagnostic equipment, enabling the Audi specialist to accurately diagnose faults with an Audi vehicle and to be able to repair an Audi not only quicker, but usually to a higher standard.

In its earliest form the company was started by August Horch in 1899, although the first car under the Audi brand, the Audi Type A Sport-Phaeton was not produced until 1910.

Audi has a long pedigree in producing not only superb road going vehicles, but also had great success in the 1980's when in 1980 they released the famous Audi Quattro. This was a turbo-charged four wheel drive rally car that won rallies and races all over the world. It still is considered one of the all time significant rally cars to be produced. As it was the first to use a four wheel drive system, it was doubted by many critics thinking it would be too complex and heavy to compete. The Audi Quattro then went on to win the World Rally Championship in 1983 & 1984. Audi formally left rallying in 1986.

Audi is a prestigious German car manufacturer that since 1966 has been majority owned by VW. They currently employ in excess of 46,000 staff and have 7 production facilities in 6 countries. In 2011 they produced over 1.3 million vehicles under the Audi brand alone this ultimately gave them a profit of 5.3 billion Euros. Other well known brands attached to Audi include Ducatti and Lambourgini.

In recent years in its marketing, Audi has used the now well known slogan "Vorsprung durch Technik". This translates into "Advancement through Technology".
